Technical Administrator

The King Group of Companies is a well-established local Employer based in Market Harborough for over 50 years.   Our Rail department is rapidly expanding and our aim is to attract, develop and retain the best possible people to create a highly skilled team.

We are looking to recruit a full time Technical Administrator to support our Technical and Managerial teams based in Riverside, Market Harborough. The ideal candidate will be conscientious and hardworking, willing to take responsibility for ensuring activities are completed in the required time frame.    You should have the ability to work to tight deadlines and be able to deal with several issues at once.

The role will involve:

  • Undertake facilitation of the Task Allocation process
  • Co-ordinate Quality information and update relevant databases
  • Update Teamwork Database with information supplied from the Build Team
  • Reasonable Ad Hoc requests which draw on the Technical Administrator’s skill base (eg creation of spreadsheets to track actions, maintain databases to ensure compliance etc)
  • Update Notifications from Team Leader feedback and collate information using the appropriate systems
  • Build File Creation
  • Managing worksheet edits and creation
  • Maintenance manual and technical documentation creation and updates
  • Support management and technical to ensure quality control and deadlines are met

Key skills required:

  • Good level of keyboard skills and knowledge of Microsoft packages including Excel essential
  • Some mechanical knowledge or previous experience would be advantageous
  • An organised individual who is reliable and always keen to help, whilst paying particular attention to detail
  • Ability to use own initiative as well as being able to work as part of a team
  • Ensure and maintain confidentiality of information and data at all times
  • A good standard of general education
  • Experience of administration duties
  • Understanding of health and safety regulations
  • Committed to professional development
